In a town of Sun City, a rich aristocrat decided that he would give every man $45 and every woman $60.
Only one ninth of the men and only one twelfth of the women collected their dues.
Can you tell how much money the aristocrat spent if there were 3552 people in total?
June Solution
Let the number of men =x and number of women =y then, x + y =3552 $45 for every men and $60 for every women but 1/9 of x took the money and 1/12th of y took the money therefore total amt spent =45*(x/9)+ 60*(y/12) = 5(x+y) =5*3552 =17760total amt spent

August Problem
I bought a car with a peculiar 5 digit numbered license plate, which on reversing could still be read. On reversing the value is increased by 78633.
What is the original number if all digits are different?
