Rodney is a native Houstonian and a graduated form Texas A&M University in 1973. He is employed with Frank’s International as manager of business development for their deepwater group. He has been a member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo since 1988, a member of the speakers committee since 1991, and a life member since 1996. He also serves on the corporate development committee and had previously served on the group ticket sales committee for 16 years. He has held several leadership positions on each committee throughout the years.

"GIS Based Asset Management"
Asset Management Systems facilitate the management of infrastructure as well as asset valuation, reporting, and condition assessment. In addition, these systems improve operational efficiency by performing mapping of assets that facilitate streamlined planning of future upgrades, maintenance, and expansions. Mr. Durso has more than 8 years of experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) engineering. His experience includes the design and development of systems that include closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, dynamic message signs (DMS), lane control signals (LCS), hazard advisory radio (HAR), vehicle detection, automated vehicle identification (AVI), and roadway illumination. He has developed Traffic Management Centers (TMCs), Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), Traffic Signal Systems, Incident Management Plans (IMPs), and Emergency Road Closure Plan (ERCP) systems. He has performed system testing and construction inspection on CCTV, DMS, traffic signals, and fiber optics.

"On-Site Mixed Oxidant Generation Equipment for Water & Wastewater Disinfection"
Water disinfection and protection of water distribution systems have been traditionally accomplished by the addition of chemical oxidants such as chlorine into the water. For many decades the most economic way to store, handle and feed chlorine has been in its gas form. However, increasing awareness of the safety hazards that chlorine gas poses to employees and the public in general resulted in implementation of regulations such as the EPA’s Risk Management Program rule and OSHA’s Process Safety Management standard, which require utilities to develop training, emergency response, containment, release prevention and public communication programs.
