ASCEs booth was centered around a bridge building activity, where children had the opportunity to win prizes based on how strong their bridges were. Some of the prizes included Legos (by far the most popular), engineering books, videos and ASCE bags and pencils. We had many prospective engineers emerge throughout the day! Thanks to all the volunteers, the ASCE Houston Branch, and Brian Huang and Brett Pope for working so hard to get this set up! The Childrens Festival is located in downtown Houston and is attended by over 50,000 children, parents, and sponsors. The festival benefits CHILD ADVOCATES, INC. and the abused and neglected children that it serves.
